With 72,330 new COVID-19 cases, India records biggest single-day spike since October

India recorded its highest single-day rise in COVID-19 cases this year with 72,330 new infections being reported in a span of 24 hours, taking the total tally of cases to 1,22,21,665, according to the Union Health Ministry data released on Thursday.
