Mamata Banerjee inaugurates Ganga Sagar Mela: Covid-19 checks in place, 3-4 lakh visitors expected

The mela is held annually at Gangasagar in West Bengal and it kicked off this year on Wednesday (January 12). Considered as the biggest fair in the eastern part of India, the mela sees lakhs of devotees and sadhus every year. Authorities said strict Covid-19 checks are in place.
